Most of the sites like Flickr, Picasa, Snap Fish show your images on an image search in Google or Live. Of course, you can make them private so that they are not shown t public.

We also upload images to our blogs/sites. These images may be unique and you do not want someone else to be the owner of your images. Anyone can easily use them for various purposes without your knowledge. So, how do you protect them? Thanks to Watermarking technique.

Your images are visible across the web and when they are visible, they can be downloaded by anyone. Using Watermarking will prevent others from downloading them. Though it can’t stop your images from being visible. The image here, has my blogs URL embossed in the middle.

Most of us use Notepad in Windows very frequently to quickly store some data. In fact, there is always a text file on my Desktop and I use it often to quickly store some data. This will generally contain the activities that I’m supposed to do for the day.

I’m sure many of use Notepad for some or the other thing. So what’s a big deal in it? Is this your question?
Let me ask you, do you know that a Notepad can be used as a Personal Diary? No, please read on!

Follow these quick steps

Firstly open a blank Notepad file.

Now write .LOG (case sensitive) as the first line in the file, and then hit enter. You may save it with any name and then close it.

Open the notepad file now and you will find that the current date and time has been appended at the end and the cursor is placed in the next line.

Type your notes and then save and close the file.

Each time you open the file, Notepad repeats the process and it appends the date and time to the end of the file.

This way you can easily maintain and track all you entries along with their Time Stamps. This can work very much like a Personal Diary.

Notepad is one of the wonderful utility in Windows. No other program like a Word, Excel or a utility tool like Ultra Edit can replace it. What do you say?

Scenario

We often take online courses as part of the company’s mandatory courses, certifications and due to many other reasons. Most of these courses also have an assessment to be completed at the end in order to earn the credits.

Do you know that we can get the answers for these assessments right from our system?

Fact

Most of the times (not always), online courses are designed in Flash and using scripting languages like Java or VB script.

How to get the answers?

Clear all the Temporary Internet Files

Refresh the browser window where questions are being served

Go back to the temporary internet files folder. You will now only see the files which are only related to the current browser which is refreshed.

Search for the script files. All the script files will look like this. .The important thing is to search for the relevant script file. You may want to check the script file name. In my case, I found the script file with the name ‘Questions’.

Open the file with a Notepad or any other editor like Ultra Edit.

You should be able to see the questions and also the answers for those questions.

Assume this is the question

Given the company’s policy on public communications, how would you handle a request for an interview from a reporter for an investment strategy magazine?

Screenshot

Please select the best answer.

Speak with the reporter and respond accurately and truthfully to any questions.

Refer the reporter to the Director of your department.

Refer the reporter to the XXXXXXXXXXXXXX Public Relations department.

Speak with the reporter with the understanding that any comments will need to be approved by the XXXXXXXXXXXXX Public Relations department.

Here is the answer

Refer to the highlighted part of the image. The box in RED has the correct answer for the question among all the other options available. At the end of the highlighted box, there is a word TRUE, indicating that’s the correct answer. The other options have FALSE.

Likewise, you can get answers for all the questions!

Caveats

This will work only when the script where the answers are stored, is not protected.

This is applicable only in the scenario mentioned on the top of post and not in other scenarios.
