Add Spice to your Gmail with Xoopit
Add fun to your Gmail Inbox with Xoopit. Xoopit is a Firefox extension that brings life to your Gmail inbox by providing you a cool way to view and browse all your images, videos, files and links available in your email attachments.
To make itself even more interesting, Xoopit offers you to search your stuff instead of your messages. It means, if you’re looking for any specific picture or a file that somebody might have sent you a few months ago, you can use Xoopit Search within Gmail. Xoopit will filter around people or keyword and find the photos and files that you’re looking for.
In addition to that, Xoopit allows you to do a web search while composing a mail in Gmail and add results directly to your message.
Currently, Xoopit is available only with Gmail and Google Apps. The upcoming, Yahoo! Mail’s new Smarter Inbox will also have the Xoopit feature.
Some cool features of Xoopit
- Browse photos and videos from YouTube, Flickr, Shutterfly, Kodak and Picasa right within your Gmail Account. Links sent to your Gmail account are automatically collected, saving you the hassle of going to these sites.
- Xoopit upgrades Gmail search to show you the photos, videos and files that match what you are looking for.

- Do a web search while composing a mail in Gmail and add results directly to your message.

This is great. I maintain a photographic blog for a friend of mine and because of this I get tons of photos mailed to me. I am always searching for the stuff I need. This is just what I have been looking for.
At present this site is offline due to technical problems. I will use this gap to get this installed and when we go live again my searching problems should be a thing of the past. Thanks for this.
