Organize emails in Gmail with Labels
Google added buttons on top of the Gmail. So, what’s new here? It includes a new option ‘Move’. Consider this.
To move an email out of your inbox and into a label it usually involves 2 steps. Not any longer. Gmail added the ‘Move’ functionality available in all the other email services. Last but late, gmail at last made this task easy!
what with the ‘Auto Complete’ feature, Labeling or Moving the emails to folders would be much more easier with Keyboard Shortcuts. You can enable Keyboard Shortcuts in your Gmail Settings.

When Gmail was initially launched, it boosted of being different. But, it did not realize that simple features like ‘Moving of emails to Folders’ is a complex task in Gmail. Even now, many of them are not aware of how to move emails to Labels or Archive them.
At last, they have come-up with the ‘Move’ option. Yes, Gmail is certainly different. Make it complex first then release the new feautres which are already available with other service providers.

@Lyndi, Labels are good. But they are no different than the Folders in other emails. Before introducing this, Archiving an email to a particular Label involved 2 steps, which is not the case now.
I rarely use labels except for things I want to have extremely fast access to. The beauty of gmail is the ability to search I find… it almost eliminates the need to star or label most emails.

I really like how you can customize gmail. Adding labels to the email is a fine example of this. It makes searching for past emails so easy.
I would be lost without GMail’s labels. They make searching and finding things a lot easier as well.
