Windows 7 Beta - Alternate Download Links and Installation Instructions
The wait is over. At last, Microsoft made the Windows 7 Beta download public. There is a lot of confusion around this Download and Installation process. One may either get a parsing error while on he Profile page. In case, of a failure to download the software, you may follow these alternate steps to download and install it.
Alternate steps
- Microsoft Windows 7 download is 3.5 GB in size. It’s better to use a software like Download Accelerator Plus (DAP) or any other related software for downloading it.
- Start your download by visiting any of the direct links below.
- Don’t wait for the download to complete. Get your Activation key. To get the activation key, login at Microsoft TechNet account with your Live / Hotmail ID.
- Once logged in, click on any of these links and your Activation Key will be displayed on the screen.
- Alternately, click here for more activation keys on Nihar’s World.
- The downloaded software is an .iso image. Burn the image to a DVD and install the software.
Note: 1 Activation Key can only be used on 3 different computers. If the Activation Key mentioned in the above link is already used thrice, you may not be able to use it again.
Actual Steps to Download and Install
- Visit Microsoft Windows 7 Download page.
- The moment you select your version of the software, it will re-direct you to the Microsoft Profile page.
- Login with your Windows Live / Hotmail ID and when you hit next, your download will begin.
- After your download is completed, the activation key will be displayed.
It may take more than 24 hours for the download to complete and since it’s only limited to the first 2.5 million people, the probability that you will get a key is very less. Hence, the need for the above alternate steps.
