View your Facebook Status messages from Gmail with Xoopit
Xoopit, a wonderful social networking email enhancement utility that allows you to locate images, videos and email attachments from your Gmail inbox, has added a new feature which lets you view status messages and profile photos of your Facebook account without leaving your Gmail. Xoopit is also available with Yahoo! Mail smarter Inbox.
Facebook Connect not only lets you view status messages and profile photos of your Facebook account, you can also reply to the status messages right from your Gmail account.
Activating Facebook inside Xoopit for Gmail
- Download Xoopit FireFox plugin first. You cannot use this feature without installing this plugin.
- Lookout for the new Facebook ‘F’ icon in the upper right hand corner of Gmail. Click on the icon to login to your Facebook account.
- Now set your status on Facebook using the same ‘F’ icon in your Gmail.
- Your Gmail messages with people who are also on Facebook will contain their Facebook profile photos, status messages.
- You can view the Facebook status messages and profile photos to the right of your Gmail messages in the ‘Conversation box’. You can click on More info to get more details.
Note: You can use this feature without signing up for the Xoopit indexing service for Gmail. In this case, you will have to sign in via Facebook Connect.

Thanks for the info.
Regd my sidebar. I have given white background so that it won’t get lost. I felt that our theme in the sidebar has brown which makes less readable .
